Art exhibition: rural and cityscapes of Cambridgeshire (until 07 August)

17 June 2019
Exhibiting until 07 August, in our art gallery between the Concourse and Rosie Wards, are rural and cityscapes of Cambridgeshire.

Rural and cityscapes of Cambridgeshire are the inspiration for three artists currently exhibiting in the Addenbrooke's arts gallery. Stuart Green (Fenscape, left below) extracts colour, pattern, texture and form both man made and from nature, which translate into his bold paintings of huge skies and narrow strips of cultivation. Whereas, Alice Thomson paints using a spontaneous approach to capturing her environment using a much softer palette. In contrast is photographer, Keith Taylor (Snowstorm Parker’s Piece, right below), who enjoys capturing scenes of Cambridge, in all weathers, day and night, throughout the seasons.
