Annual report and accounts

Each year, we produce an annual report to explain what we’ve done in the past 12 months and what our plans are for the coming year.

This report covers everything from changes to our services, improvements to buildings and how we’ve spent the public’s money to improve the health of the people we care for.

We also share some of the highlights of the year and tell you about some of the amazing people we work with and for.

We have published the previous six years of annual reports and accounts.

Our statement of purpose

Our hospitals provide accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions, for a regional, national and international population. We are recognised as a centre of excellence and innovation with many of the hospital specialists being leaders in their field.

Our constitution

As an NHS foundation trust, we have our own constitution which sets out our role, responsibilities, principles and governance arrangements.

Our constitution also includes information on who can be a member and how you join, how many governors we can have, how they are elected, how many directors we can have, how they are appointed, as well as other rules about preparing reports and accounting for our performance.

Quality - plan and reports

The Quality Plan sets the our direction for the next five years. We’ll do this by working together as colleagues in our hospitals and also with other NHS hospitals, commissioners, higher education institutions, third party providers, patient groups and charities.

Our Quality Accounts are annual reports to the public to provide additional accountability about the quality of our services.

We have published the previous six years of quality accounts.

Infection control annual report

We have a statutory responsibility to be compliant with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Department of Health, 2010) and produce an annual report that details our infection prevention and control activity over the last year, outlining our key achievements and an assessment of performance against national targets for the year.
