What to expect when you come to our hospitals

As a healthcare provider, we have taken a cautious approach to infection prevention and control measures to help protect our patients and our staff over the last two years. We are now in a position where we feel it is safe to reduce the restrictions we have had in place.

Waiting times

Our aim is to be here for you if you do contract Covid-19 and require hospital care, but also to treat you and your family safely for your other health conditions while this pandemic continues.

Shops, cafés and restaurants

We offer a range of shops and food and drink outlets for patients, visitors and the general public.

Covid-19 vaccine

The NHS will be starting to vaccinate the most at-risk groups, including over-80s and social care workers in the hospital hubs, when we have the vaccines in place.

Our uniforms

Whilst you are visiting hospital you may meet several different members of staff involved in your care. From nurses through to security officers. Each staff member has a different role at CUH and wears a different uniform.
