PROMs: Patient Reported Outcome Measures

All NHS patients having hip or knee replacements, varicose vein surgery, or groin hernia surgery are invited to fill in a PROMs questionnaire.

The NHS is asking patients about their health and quality of life before they have an operation, and about their health and the effectiveness of the operation afterwards. This will help the NHS measure and improve the quality of its care.

Find out more about the latest PROMS statistics for different surgical procedures at this Trust at the NHS Choices website

National Hip and Fracture Database (NHFD)

The National Hip and Fracture Database is a national clinical audit. It’s designed to facilitate improvements in the quality and cost effectiveness of hip fracture care.

The NHFD annual report gives the latest performance and outcomes data for this Trust and can be downloaded from the NHFD website.
