Dr Corrie qualified in medicine at Oxford University, having already undertaken a PhD in anticancer drug development. She was appointed as Consultant Medical Oncologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge in 1997, where she established the Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre and the West Anglia Cancer Research Network. Her specialist interests are in experimental therapeutics primarily associated with treatment of melanoma and pancreaticobiliary cancers. She has extensive experience in the conduct of clinical trials and has published widely. In 2001, she was appointed Associate Lecture in the University of Cambridge.

She was Clinical Director for Chemotherapy Services from 2009-2014, before becoming Cancer Specialty Lead for the NIHR Eastern Clinical Research Network.

Nationally, she chaired the NCRI Skin Cancer Clinical Studies Group from 2012-2017 and is a member of the NCRI Pancreatic Cancer Clinical Studies subgroup. In 2017, she was appointed NIHR Cancer Lead for Late Phase and International Trials. She is a Co-founder and Trustee of the Melanoma Focus national melanoma charity and a Medical Advisor for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
