A guide for families
This is a free service based on the availability of a Photographer.
We appreciate this is very difficult time for you. Addenbrooke’s provides a service to help you to create lasting memories.
A photographer will photograph your child, capturing details of their physical features.
You and your family could also be included in the images taken. The photographer will work in a compassionate and sensitive way guided by you.
Photography can include close up images of your child. You may also wish to hold your child or include something special, maybe a teddy bear or a locket.
If you decide to have photographs taken, a counsellor or a member of staff will arrange this with the photography team. A consent form will need to be completed.
Your child’s photos will be captured in black and white.
The images will be provided to you on a USB stick.
We are smoke-free
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the hospital campus. For advice and support in quitting, contact your GP or the free NHS stop smoking helpline on 0800 169 0 169.
