Tracy Watts - Patient Development Lead
Patient Development Lead

Tracy is the patient education lead for the team; she works closely with patients who live with long term conditions and is a recognised expert in self-management.

She also works closely with clinicians, supporting them to identify ways to build productive partnerships with their patients.

Tracy’s background is health, as a registered nurse but she has also worked across other sectors which has enabled her to develop her strong facilitation, training and negotiating skills. She has a good level of insight into the complexities of delivering SMS and how to overcome obstacles and problems within the healthcare system.

Tracy is PRINCE 2 trained and has delivered complex projects across primary and secondary care

Tracy has written a number of patient education programmes where the focus is on self management and has more recently launched a patient self management e-learning module. She is health foundation fellow and blogs on the subject on a regular basis.
