Addenbrookes’ vascular surgery department is one of the largest vascular units in the country.
Vascular surgery is the specialty in which diseases of the vascular system or arteries and veins are managed, largely via surgical (open or endovascular) intervention.
We do not manage cardiac disease (or ascending aortic disease) - dealt with by Cardiology and Cardiothoracics or intracranial disease - dealt with by Neurosurgery.
