Mr Tristan Lane

Consultant vascular surgeon

I am a vascular surgery consultant in the exceptionally busy Cambridge vascular unit.

My current role

I work as part of the vascular surgery consultant team at Addenbrookes and Peterborough City Hospital. We deal with all the blood vessels in the body outside of the brain and the heart. I have a special interest in complex venous pathology.

I am currently lead for EPIC and IT integration, and carotid lead. I am also an honorary senior clinical lecturer at Imperial College London.

Previous history

Before joining CUH in 2020, I trained in London, where I spent time at the following units:

  • West London Vascular and Interventional Centre (Northwick Park Hospital)
  • St George's Vascular Institute (St George's Hospital)
  • Royal London Vascular Department (Royal London Hospital)
  • Imperial College Vascular Unit (St Mary's Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital

I was a clinical lecturer at Imperial College London from 2017 - 2020 in the section of vascular surgery led by Professor Alun Davies.
I completed medical school at Imperial College London in 2006 before returning for my PhD in varicose vein outcomes 2010 - 2013.
