My current role
I am a clinical oncology consultant specialising in the treatment of colorectal and anal cancers. I am interested in radiotherapy techniques, and the long term effects of pelvic radiotherapy. I am active in clinical trials.
Previous history
I completed my undergraduate training at Newcastle University, and my junior doctor training in Newcastle and Yorkshire. My oncology training spanned over several regions – Leeds, Hull, Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Ipswich and Norwich. I did a research MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Cardiff studying image-guided adaptive radiotherapy for pelvic cancers, and predictors of long term radiotherapy side effects. I commenced my consultant career in Addenbrooke’s in 2017.
