Addenbrooke's services

The department provides ophthalmology services for the city of Cambridge and a large area surrounding it. It also runs consultant-led outreach clinics in both Ely and Saffron Walden.

Patients needing specialised treatment come from a wide area. All the sub-specialities of ophthalmology are covered, including:

Retinal surgery, Medical ophthalmology, Diabetic eye disease, Glaucoma, Orbital, plastic and lacrimal surgery, Neuro-ophthalmology, Paediatric ophthalmology, Genetic clinic, Orthoptic and electrodiagnostic service.

You Made a Difference - March

A security officer who offered support to a family in the emergency department, and a senior pharmacy technician who worked to ensure that a patient could continue his treatment at home are the recipients of this month’s You Made a Difference award.

Art exhibition: Society of Graphic Fine Art (until 18 April)
