Julie Chapman – head of resourcing

Julie is celebrating 30 years at CUH, she shares her story with us.

I cannot think of anywhere else I would rather be, as every day brings new challenges and reward.

Julie Chapman

My background has always been in HR and prior to moving to Cambridge in 1987 I was an HR lead at Norwich Union. I was fortunate to secure a post at Fulbourn Hospital in 1989 where I started the admin bank covering admin temporary placements that were required both at Fulbourn Hospital and CUH. When the two hospitals split in 2003, I was asked to move to CUH to cover both admin and clinical placements.

In 2012 I was approached to widen my remit to manage recruitment services in addition to the staff bank, which has been the most amazing journey.

I have loved every moment of working at CUH and met and worked with the most amazing people who have made my job worthwhile

I am very fortunate to still work with my colleague Jackie who started working in the Staff Bank in late 1989 so that is a huge achievement, building a great service together. She is also celebrating her 30 years+ service.

Although not directly involved in patient care, the work we undertake supports the whole Trust in ensuring we keep the patients journey at the forefront of all we do.

Say thank you
