Mr Kourosh Saeb-Parsy qualified as a doctor from the University of Cambridge, having also obtained a PhD as part of the MB-PhD programme. He completed his surgical training in Cambridge and was appointed as a University Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Transplant Surgeon in 2012. In addition to his clinical work in abdominal organ transplantation, he is heavily involved in teaching of medical students and surgical trainees and is a Fellow and Director of Studies at Fitzwilliam College, University of Cambridge. His research is focused on understanding the mechanisms of damage after transplantation of solid organs and stem-cell derived tissues, and investigating therapeutic interventions which can help improve outcomes.
