Adult eating disorders - S3

Wards A-Z

S3 is a 14 bedded inpatient facility commissioned by NHS England Specialist Commissioning and is the only adult NHS specialist eating disorder unit in the East of England. It caters for adults over 18 years of age who have a diagnosed eating disorder and have been assessed as being at high risk due severity of their illness.

Current visiting policy

Restricted visiting will be permitted on most wards and areas such as our Emergency Department. Please follow our guidance to find our more information as some areas do still have restrictions.

The ward provides individual intensive support for weight restoration, education and psychological interventions.

The ward works closely with regional community eating disorder teams who are gatekeepers of inpatient referrals and uses a multidisciplinary approach.
