Kate Wilson

Chaplain

I joined the chaplaincy in March 2026 following a year as a chaplaincy volunteer. I love supporting patients and their families, as well as staff members, in ways that are meaningful to them, following any faith tradition or none.

Previous history

Prior to joining the chaplaincy, I worked for many years in charity and higher education institutions in both the United States and the UK. I expect to complete a Master's in Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy in 2026, and I am involved with The Margaret Beaufort Institute in Cambridge, which offers theological education and enrichment particularly (not exclusively) to Roman Catholic women.

Personal interests

I am married with two teenage sons and two cats. In addition to my job, I enjoy outdoor walks, creative writing, yoga, LEGO models, mystery novels and television programmes, and spending time with family and friends.
