Mr Kasra Saeb-Parsy

Consultant Urological Surgeon and Clinical Lead

Kasra Saeb-Parsy

My current role

I have been a Consultant Urologist at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2016, and in 2025 I became Clinical Lead for the Department of Urology. My specialist interests are the keyhole (endoscopic) treatment of kidney stones and the diagnosis of prostate conditions, including MRI-ultrasound fusion guided transperineal prostate biopsy, which uses MRI scans to target the biopsy precisely. I also offer Rezūm, a minimally invasive water vapour treatment for an enlarged prostate, and I see patients with a wide range of general urology conditions.

Alongside my clinical work, I am closely involved in teaching and training the next generation of doctors and surgeons. I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge and the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) Medical School Lead for the university. I am also the BAUS National Lead for Foundation and Core Surgical Trainees, a member of the East of England Urology Specialty Training Committee, an FRCS Urology examiner for the JCIE, and Training Programme Director for Faculty Development and Simulation Training at the School of Surgery, NHS England East of England.

I have presented my work and taught as faculty at international conferences across Europe, Asia and the USA, and I have published in peer-reviewed journals and contributed chapters to medical textbooks. I combine clinical practice with research and education because I believe this is the best way to keep improving the care my patients receive.

Previous history

I qualified in medicine from the University of London in 1999. Before joining Cambridge, I was a Consultant Urologist at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2015, where I was Clinical Lead for the Prostate Cancer Multidisciplinary Team and Diagnostics.
