Principal genetic counsellor

I am a principal genetic counsellor within the East Anglian regional genetics service

My current role

I currently hold cancer genetic, general genetic and prenatal genetic clinics in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, and also hold a monthly general genetic clinic in King's Lynn.

I am also education and training co-lead in our genetic counselling team, and training officer for STP trainees.

Previous history

Before joining CUH, I completed an undergraduate degree in biological sciences at Durham University and a masters degree in genomic medicine at Imperial College London.

I began my genetic counselling training in 2017 through the scientist training programme (STP), with my clinical training based at CUH and my MSc at the University of Manchester.

Following completion of the STP in September 2020, I have worked as a registered genetic counsellor in the CUH clinical genetics team.
