My current role
My clinical practice spans a broad range of acute and chronic neurological conditions, with experience across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
I have a subspecialty focus in peripheral nerve disorders, seeing patients from across the region with inflammatory, inherited, and other acquired neuropathies.
Alongside this, I lead a dedicated immunoglobulin therapy service for patients with inflammatory conditions, and serve as Chair of the East of England Regional Subpanel for Immunoglobulin.
As a Director of the Motor Neuron Disease Care Centre in Cambridge, I work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients living with this challenging condition.
I am passionate about strengthening the interface between neurology and primary care, and have been actively involved in developing new approaches to communication with GPs that put patients at the centre.
Within Addenbrooke's Hospital, I hold the role of Clinical Governance Lead for Neurology, and I am committed to driving standards of safety and excellence across the department.
I also serve as Training Programme Director for Neurology in the East of England Deanery, where I take overall responsibility for supporting and guiding neurology trainees throughout their professional development.
Previous history
I completed my medical training in London before undertaking specialist neurology training at both East of England and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square. Alongside my clinical development, I built a strong foundation in academic medicine, completing a basic science PhD during my training.
