Dr Louise Selby

Paediatric Respiratory Consultant

I graduated from St George's, University of London in 2008. I undertook my junior paediatric training in Portsmouth and Southampton from 2010-2013 before moving back home to the East of England, where I worked as a paediatric registrar in Addenbrooke's, Hinchingbrooke and West Suffolk Hospitals. I have specialised in paediatric respiratory medicine since 2016, initially as a junior doctor before completing a higher research degree between 2017-2019 at the Royal Brompton Hospital and Imperial College. My research looked into the side effects of inhaled steroids and adrenal gland function in children with asthma, supervised by Professor Andy Bush, Professor Sejal Saglani and Professor Louise Fleming.

My current role

I became a consultant at Addenbrooke's in 2020, and became lead of the East of England Cystic Fibrosis Network in 2024.

My interests are in developing a collaborative and patient lead children's cystic fibrosis service and establishing links for clinical care and research with the Royal Papworth Hospital teams.
