Amanda Cahn – associate director of operations

Our long service awards recognise members of team CUH who've worked for the Trust for 20, 30 and 40 years. Amanda Cahn is celebrating 30 years at CUH. Here she shares her story.

I started at Addenbrooke’s in 1990 on ward A3 as a staff nurse and continued to develop my career in nursing until 1998. I then moved into a service manager role and in 2007 I became associate director of operations for women’s and children’s services.

I am incredibly proud to work here, the people I work with are amazing. It is an incredibly dynamic environment and the care we give to patients is outstanding.

Obviously since I started here 30 years ago CUH has changed in many ways. Changes I’ve seen include new building developments, the site has become a biomedical campus, relationships with industry partners, as well as executive changes and styles of management. However there is always a focus on patient experience and staff wellbeing.
