Meetings in Public
Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) is committed to openness and transparency. There are a number of opportunities for members of the public to attend and observe meetings throughout the year. These are the Board Meetings (4 times per year), Council of Governors (4 times per year) and the Annual Public Meeting (annual). In addition to CUH led meetings, the Cambridge Biomedical Campus holds regular open forums, the details of which can be found on their website. (opens in a new tab) (opens in a new tab)
The next CUH Board of Directors meeting is taking place on Wednesday, 09th September. If you would like to attend the Board meeting, please email: cuh.trustsecretariat@nhs.net providing your name and your organisation/role if applicable and email address by no later than 12noon on Friday 04 September 2026 (3 clear working days prior to the meeting).
Asking a Question
Board of Directors meetings, whilst meeting in public, are not public meetings. This means that there will not be an opportunity for members of the public to directly address the Board. However, members of the public are invited to submit written questions in advance of the meeting. Questions should be sent to cuh.trustsecretariat@nhs.net by 12 noon on Friday, 04 September 2026.
- Questions from members of the public will be limited to one question per person/organisation and should be no more than 100 words in length.
- Questions must only relate to matters within the powers and functions of the CUH Board of Directors.
- Any questions received following the deadline date will be deferred and considered for the next most relevant Board meeting.
Questions received by the deadline, together with the Trust's responses, will be published on the Trust website following the meeting. The Chair reserves the right to refuse questions that are not within the powers and duties of the Trust to answer, or to direct questions to a more appropriate forum where necessary. The Chair also has discretion to determine whether a question is accepted for response and publication.
