To reduce the risk of infection, please:
- Remove any outdoor clothing prior to entering the clinical areas. There are lockers avilable in reception for your use.
- Wash your hands thoroughly prior to entering the unit and on entering the room where your baby is being cared for.
- If you or your visitors are unwell, please call the unit and speak with the nurse caring for your baby.

Washing your hands is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself and others from illnesses such as food poisoning and viruses such as flu and coronavirus (COVID-19).
