British Academy of Audiology Student Poster prize

01 June 2018
Aly Lusty was one of the Audiology Scientific Training Programme trainees at CUH. As part of her training she completed a research project on ‘Characteristics of performing the TEN test in children with mild to moderate hearing loss’.

This showed that children require a significantly higher signal to noise ratio than adults to complete the test. This supports previous research proposing additional diagnostic criteria when using the TEN test in children, compared to that used in adults.

At the recent national British Academy of Audiology conference, Aly was awarded the Student Poster prize for her research. This is a fantastic achievement and we congratulate Aly on her hard work.

We are delighted that she has now joined the Audiology team on a permanent post as a specialist audiologist.
