Tucked away in a quiet corner in the Rosie Hospital, the Japanese garden offers a peaceful rest outdoors. At its heart, a small water fountain gently bubbles away, while the tall trees provide shade across stone paths, colourful flowers and wooden benches.

About the garden
This courtyard garden is planted with a selection of Japanese Acers, as well as other plants, offering different and changing leaf colour through the year. As well as the striking colour changes of the Acers, there are three Euonymus alatus which offer a dramatic colour change in Autumn. There are two water features in the courtyard which provide the soothing sound of running water. The courtyard garden was renovated by in house and volunteers from Takeda Cambridge Ltd in 2010.

Key features:
- Towering trees to provide a cool shade
- Vibrant flowers
- Multiple seating areas
- Japanese water fountains
