Yakshita Suvarna

My current role

My role in the neuropsychology department involves working with patients with a range of neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, encephalitis, and many other conditions.

As part of the outpatient team, I work closely with clinical psychologists to provide neuropsychological assessments to explore cognitive, behavioral, and emotional changes. My role also includes providing neuropsychological rehabilitation and support for service users with neurological disorders and their families. Additionally, I am involved in providing language assessment and support for service users prior to and during their awake craniotomy.

Previous history

I completed my MSc in psychology of mental health from the University of Edinburgh in 2023, during which I assisted in the medicine for the elderly and neurosurgery wards.

Following this, I worked as an assistant practitioner in the community mental health team.

Additionally, I hold an undergraduate degree in pharmacy and I am interested in the interdisciplinary field of neuropsychology and pharmacology.
