My current role
I am currently undertaking the Scientific Training Programme in Genomic Counselling within the Clinical Genetics department in Cambridge, where I am developing expertise in genomic medicine, genetic counselling, and the care of individuals and families affected by inherited conditions.
Previous history
Before joining CUH in 2015, I worked as a perfusionist at Papworth hospital.
Prior to that I completed a research PhD at UCL, involving human genetic variation in Ethiopian populations with implications for healthcare.
Before training as a genetic counsellor, I coordinated clinical research within the Clinical Genetics department, supporting studies into the genetics of rare diseases including Deciphering Developmental Disorders (DDD) Study, IMAGINE-ID, and Molecular Pathology of Human Genetic Disease, and served as Clinical Trials Coordinator for the East of England region of the CaPP3 Trial.
