I am currently the most senior head and neck surgeon in the department and lead for thyroid and parathyroid surgery.
I have been a core member of the head and neck and the thyroid multidisciplinary teams since my appointment and of the paraganglioma multidisciplinary team since it was established.
I established and continue to run the specialist voice clinic in conjunction with my senior speech therapy colleagues.
I am involved with a number of research projects at a local and national level and have published at national and international level.
Previous history
I studied medicine at Birmingham University and trained in ENT in Liverpool at units including the renowned head and neck centre at Aintree and Alder Hay Children's Hospital. I then undertook an international head and neck fellowship at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Australia before being appointed a consultant at Addenbrooke's hospital.
