Miss Michelle Kemp

Obstetric consultant

I am an obstetric consultant at Addenbrooke’s Hospital with an interest in mental health and haematology in pregnancy.

My current role

I work with the multidisciplinary team in the Rosie Hospital looking after pregnant women. I am a maternal medicine consultant with a particular interest in haematological conditions in pregnancy and mental wellbeing in pregnancy.

I am also an associate lecturer at Cambridge University and enjoy teaching medical students and trainees. Part of my role is setting the practical exams for the students in obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G). I am also currently the audit lead for obstetrics and take part in clinical research.

Previous history

I graduated from King's College London in 2008 and worked as a trainee in East Anglia before starting my consultant post at Addenbrooke’s in 2018.

Memberships and accreditations

I am a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and a member of the British Medical Association (BMA).

Personal interests

When I am not at work I enjoy painting, cycling, photography and kayaking.
