Mike has been the Chief Finance Officer of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) since November 2020, having previously worked as Director of Finance at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Prior to that, Mike held a number of roles at Monitor (now NHS Improvement) with a focus on supporting organisations and systems to develop long term plans to ensure financial sustainability. Mike originally trained with the accountancy firm Deloitte and is member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
In his role at CUH Mike leads on financial aspects of the Trust’s work, including the development of the Trust’s financial plans, financial reporting, the Trust’s commercial strategy and procurement.
