My current role
I look after patients with stroke and blood vessel disorders in the brain. With colleagues at Papworth, I run a tertiary service for patients undergoing cardiac interventions for stroke prevention and those with inherited aortopathies alongside brain blood vessel involvement.
I am the East of England regional stroke specialty lead for the NIHR research delivery network. With collaborators in applied maths and public health at Cambridge, I research into applications of artificial intelligence techniques to brain scans and electronic health records to improve care of stroke patients.
Previous history
I did my neurology training at Addenbrooke’s, Norwich and Queen Square. I completed an MD from Cambridge in 2014 and a post-doctoral clinical research fellowship in Sydney in 2018. Before joining CUH in 2022, I was a consultant neurologist at the West Suffolk Hospital.
