My current role
I am part of the neuropsychology outpatient team and my role involves working with patients with neurological disorders such as epilepsy, brain tumours, multiple sclerosis, dementia, traumatic brain injury and so on.
I am part of the team that helps inform diagnostic opinions, sees patients for neuropsychological rehabilitation and supports patients and families to adjust to difficult diagnoses. I am particularly interested and have been involved with the assessment of different types of dementia, supporting people through awake craniotomies and assessing cognitive functions of people with epilepsy.
Previous history
I trained in Clinical Psychology at the Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India and worked at hospitals in India until 2014 as a clinical psychologist. Following this, I moved to the UK and I completed a PhD in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Leeds. I have been working within the neuropsychology department since September 2019.
