My current role
I am a clinical psychologist working in paediatric cystic fibrosis, respiratory medicine, and gastroenterology teams. In my role, I support children, young people, and their families as they navigate the challenges of living with chronic health conditions.
Previous history
Before joining CUH, I worked across a range of clinical and research settings in South Africa. My experience includes providing psychological consultation, therapy, and assessment for children and adults with complex medical conditions such as renal failure, cancer, and transplant needs at Wits Donald Gordon Medical Centre. I also provided parent-infant psychotherapy, play therapy, and psychodynamic interventions for young children and teenagers at Ububele Educational and Psychotherapy Trust alongside neuropsychological assessment in both adult and paediatric settings in public and private sectors.
In addition, I have worked as a paediatric neuropsychologist supervisor, supporting the training and development of early career clinicians at the University of Cape Town.
I hold a dual PhD from the University of Bristol and University of Cape Town, where my research focused on the impact of violence on children’s mental health and cognition, as well as a Master’s in neuropsychology from the University of Cape Town.
My training and clinical work reflect my ongoing commitment to supporting the psychological needs of children and families facing medical and developmental challenges.

Personal interests
I enjoy crocheting and gaming (League of Legends) and other computer and console games. I also enjoy cooking and going on walks.
