Dr Clare Bolton

Consultant neurologist

I am a consultant neurologist with specialist interests in sleep medicine, motor neurone disease (MND) and the neurogenetic condition Ataxic Telangectasia.

I work mainly at Royal Papworth Hospital as part of the Respiratory Support and Sleep Service but have strong links with the neurology team at CUH.

My current role

My role includes running outpatient sleep medicine clinics where I manage patients with a wide range of sleep conditions.  I work with the MND service, seeing patients with MND from around the region who attend Papworth hospital for respiratory reviews, and I also have strong ties with the MND care centre at CUH.  I am the lead neurologist for the Ataxic Telangectasia (AT) service based at Royal Papworth Hospital.

As well as clinical work, I enjoy medical education and I am the undergraduate specialty training lead for Neurology at Papworth hospital. I am involved in research in areas such as Narcolepsy and AT.
