This clinic treats women who have lost three or more consecutive pregnancies. This affects one per cent of couples trying to conceive.

You may be referred to this clinic if you are:

  • Under 38 and have had three or more consecutive miscarriages
  • Over 38 and have had two or more consecutive miscarriages, or have problems with conceiving

One if five pregnancies stops developing in the first trimester. In majority of the cases this is due to chromosomal or fetal abnormalities.

These losses cannot be prevented. With first trimester loss being such a common occurrence, having 3 losses in a row is statistically very possible. We do however offer investigation to look into potential contributing factors.

We feel it is important for our patients to have the information they need and feel empowered when dealing with recurrent pregnancy losses. Apart from diagnostics and treatment we are here for support.
