We have a dedicated surveillance programme for patients with Barrett’s oesophagus, squamous dysplasia of the oesophagus and familial oesophago-gastric cancer. We offer endoscopic treatment for Barrett’s and squamous dysplasia and early cancer of the oesophagus including endoscopic mucosal resection and radiofrequency ablation.
All patients with upper GI cancer are discussed at a regional MDT meeting and a joint clinic provides input from gastroenterology, oncology, surgery, dietetics and specialist nursing.
