Meet the music therapy team

Clare Rosscornes

Clare graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with an MA in Music Therapy in 2006. She has a wide experience of working with families in a variety of settings including schools, children’s centres and now here at Addenbrookes hospital where she has been in post since 2008. Clare plays a variety of instruments but mainly plays the ukulele and keyboard for her sessions on the wards. She enjoys working as a music therapist here on the paediatric wards and finds it an absolute privilege to work with the children and families here.

Outside work, she also co-runs a popular weekly music group for families in the community and runs a local community choir.

Dawn Loombe

Dawn graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with an MA in music therapy in 2005.  She has worked as a music therapist in a variety of settings with both children and adults, including mainstream and special schools, children’s centres and in the community.  She has also worked with young people with profound and multiple disabilities and older people with Dementia.  

Dawn plays a variety of instruments but the accordion is her main instrument, and her other work includes teaching the piano accordion to children and adults.  She is also a music therapy supervisor.
