Healthcare Science Specialism: Biobanking / Histopathology.

What does your job involve?

The main role involves the collection and storage/release of consented tissue samples from oncology patients for ethically approved research. What’s the best thing about your job?

The best thing about my job is definitely knowing that the service we provide is playing a big part in the research into various diseases (i.e. cancer) which may lead to better treatment and outcomes for patients, and, ultimately, prevention in the future.
