Artists, Tess Recordon and Katy Ellis, are exhibiting some striking paintings in response to their memories or sketches of landscapes in the UK. While much of Katy’s previous work has reflected her travels in India and Asia, this series of birch trees has been inspired by her visit to the winter lights at Anglesea Abbey.

Tess enjoys working from memory, capturing the essence of a place. Her unique vibrant landscapes evolve from layers of oil paint poured from jars, rather than conventional brushes.

This exhibition is being held in the gallery in the corridor between the Concourse and Rosie Wards until 22 April. All the artwork is for sale through Addenbrooke’s Arts: 01223 217519
