Dr Worth is consultant in neurology with a special interest in Parkinson's disease (PD) and movement disorders.  He trained in medicine at Cambridge and Oxford Universities and in neurology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square in London.  He was a MRC Clinical Training Fellow at the Institute of Neurology, London, working on the genetics of movement disorders including Parkinson's and cerebellar ataxias for which he was awarded his PhD. 


His first consultant appointment was at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital from 2004-2013 where he successfuly developed the local clinical services for patients with Parkinson's - the clinic is cited on the Parkinson's UK website as an example of best practice.  His team was short listed for the Hospital Doctor Parkinson's Team of the Year Award in 2006. 

Dr Worth is Research Director for Parkinson's in the Dementia and Neurodegenerative Disease Research Network (DeNDRoN) East Anglia, and is a member of the UK DeNDRoN Parkinson's Clinical Studies Group. 

Away from work, Dr Worth is a keen musician, enjoying the guitar and singing.  He also enjoys cricket and rugby.  He enjoys cooking and entertaining, and spending time with his family.
