Paediatric neurosurgery

As well as specialist care for adults, our team also care for children and young people with brain and spinal problems.

As well as full assessment, we provide surgical treatment for a wide range of conditions, including hydrocephalus, head injuries, spinal injury or disease, brain tumours and vascular problems.

During their hospital stay, young patients will be admitted to wards C2, C3 and D2 or, in more serious cases, the high dependency unit (HDU) and paediatric intensive care unit (PICU). These wards have been specially designed for children and teenagers so that they feel as comfortable as possible during their admission.

The website below provides provides you to some informative information on what we are trying to do at CUH. This is Great Ormond Street and CUH working as part of a collaborative network (North Thames) to look at improving patient pathways and experience in both of our Trust’s.
