The Birth options clinic is led by our consultant midwives Shahla Bakhtiari and Jo Welsh. At the Rosie Hospital we recognise that every pregnancy, labour and birth are unique. We want to support you to ensure your birth experience is as personalised and safe as possible, based on your previous experiences, your personal preferences and our professional advice based on local and national guidance.
If you are considering care which is outside of recommended guidance, or if you have risk factors in you pregnancy and want to know your full range of options, or have specific anxieties about labour and birth and want help to devise a plan that is right for you, then please speak to your community midwife for referral or you can also email the Rosie birth choices team.
Our clinic is held three times a week on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and the birth choices email address is checked weekly so is not suitable for urgent advice – in that instance please do contact your community midwife or call 01223 217217 for urgent clinical advice.
