Specialist clinics

Hereditary axonopathy clinic

This clinic receives referrals for patients throughout East Anglia (and sometimes further afield) who are affected by, or at risk of developing, genetic neurological diseases in which axonal degeneration is a major feature.  This includes hereditary spastic paraplegias, hereditary ataxias and hereditary motor and sensory neuropathies. The clinic is carried out in close liaison with a Consultant Neurologist, Dr Anke Hensiek.
