The Cambridge Cancer Trials Centre (CCTC) (opens in a new tab)
Is part of the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre and research is fully integrated into cancer care at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) to constantly seek to improve outcomes for our patients. We conduct both early and late phase studies and CUH is one of the top recruiting Trusts of cancer patients to NIHR portfolio clinical trials.
The CCTC is responsible for carrying out a wide variety of clinical trials in people with or following treatment for cancer. Approximately 1800 people participate in clinical studies run by the CCTC every year. Patients are referred to Cambridge from across the East of England and beyond. Hosts the CCTU - Cancer Theme - translating Cambridge science from bench to bedside. The CCTU - Cancer Theme aims to improve the outcome for cancer patients, or those at risk of developing cancer by designing and conducting clinical trials and studies involving new treatments.
