2021 Governor Elections - help shape our hospitals

Thinking about becoming a governor

We will be hosting a briefing session for those who are interested in hearing more about becoming a Governor.

Governors are the interface between the Trust membership – patients, public and staff – and the Board of Directors who have operational responsibility for running our hospitals. Governors provide a valuable perspective on projects and performance, and hold the Non-Executive Directors to account for the performance of the Board, as well as ensuring that the membership’s views are well represented.

Becoming a Governor offers a real opportunity to make a difference to the care we provide to our local community.

This spring there will be 6 public and 6 patient Governor positions up for election. The elections will be run by Civica Election Service (CES), our independent electoral scrutineers, who will be providing nomination forms and official guidance from Tuesday 16 March.

Would you like to stand as a CUH Governor in the 2021 elections?

You will need to complete a nomination form, which includes an election statement of no more than 250 words, and you must be a staff, public or patient member. Completed nomination forms must be received by CES before noon on Thursday 15 April.
