Hannah Jackson was elected as a Staff Governor in 2018. She is a proud serving nurse at Addenbrooke’s Hospital with over 18 years’ experience.
As an active frontline junior sister on an acute ward, Hannah has first-hand experience of the challenges faced by staff across the Trust, understanding the pressures due to high volumes of patients, critical staffing levels and skill mix.
Hannah recognises that all staff members face their own specific and unique challenges during a patient’s journey through the Trust. As a staff governor she therefore hopes to be an accessible and approachable point of contact to all staff, so they can be confident of an experienced, common sense, honest and straight talking voice to fairly represent their views, ensuring the Board are fully aware of the real impact that decisions have on patients and staff at ground level.
Hannah hopes to inspire and encourage all who work or study at Cambridge University Hospitals to take an active role in the essential decision making process to help shape the future of the Trust.
