Anna Miller was elected as Public Governor in July 2018.
Recently retired from a lifetime in Teacher Education, she welcomes the challenge of supporting all aspects of patient care at CUH. She believes this is best done through a positive and meaningful relationship with management, where healthcare issues can be openly scrutinised. In particular, she is determined to improve the working environment of staff across the Trust; for it is their skills and wellbeing that underpin optimum patient care.
Anna brings many years of governance experience to her role and is confident she can help to maintain the highest standards of healthcare. Anna has 2 nearly grown-up boys that bring her joy and frustration. Her eldest works in IT and is developing a directory of preclinical cancer models and her youngest will soon graduate in aerospace engineering. Meanwhile, her own activities include walking, travelling and running a Book Club.
Anna is elected until July 2021.
