Botox for Dystonia 

Dr Anderson is a consultant neurologist in the Department of Neurosciences in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, contributing to the Botox for Dystonia service and leading the refractory headache service.

Dr Anderson gained her BSc and MBChB from the University of Edinburgh in 1994 and 2000, respectively. She completed her general medical training in Edinburgh and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2003. Her neurology training career started in the Wessex Neurological Centre in Southampton in 2004 where her interest in dystonia and its treatments began. From 2005-2008 she pursued academic research and subsequently obtained a PhD at the University of Cambridge. She returned to and completed clinical residency in neurology at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, the Norfolk and Norwich and The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London in 2012. During this time she became clinically committed to headache neurology and joined the Headache Group in the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Her specialist areas are primary refractory headaches including migraine and the trigeminal autonomic cephalgias (eg. cluster, SUNCT) and she holds weekly clinics covering these areas. She retains an honorary position in the Headache Group in the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London.
