There’s always so much to learn in neurosciences. I learnt almost all of my skills working here and no two days are ever the same.
Staff nurse

I did my training on a neurosciences ward before moving all the way from home in Scotland – which wasn’t a problem for me given Addenbrooke’s’ reputation. I wasn’t disappointed, either.

This is my very first job since qualifying as a staff nurse and at first, I was terrified! My fears were soon put to rest, though, thanks to all of the ongoing training and support. I even met a few fellow Scots!

The whole team were, and still are very supportive and if I ever need help, it doesn’t matter who I ask, they’re always happy to oblige.

There’s always so much to learn in neurosciences – the brain fascinates me. I learnt almost all of my skills working here and because we seen a mixture of neurology and neurosurgical patients, no two days are ever the same.

I love here and can’t imagine being anywhere else.
