Ana Lisa studied Natural Sciences at Jesus College Cambridge and then Medicine at University College London. After qualifying she received a Stanford University Dean’s Fellowship to work with Dr Helen Bronte-Stewart in the department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences at Stanford University Hospital, California, USA.

Ana Lisa received her core paediatric and neonatal training in London (Whittington Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital) and at Cambridge University Hospitals. She is a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She is currently doing her specialist training in Medical Genetics at Cambridge University Hospitals. Ana Lisa holds an Academic Clinical Fellowship and wants to combine her backgrounds in science and medicine as a clinician scientist. She completed a placement in Melina Schuh's Lab at the MRC LMB as part of her ACF and plans to develop her skills in genomic medicine with a research degree. She has wide clinical interests and is particularly keen to translate the rapid advances in genomic medicine into the clinic in the context of prenatal and paediatric genetics.
