Listed below are the details of a range of charities and organisations that provide help and support for serving personnel, reservists, veterans and their families. Click on the individual links for more information

NHS England provide healthcare information and support for the UK's 10 million-strong armed forces community, including serving personnel, reservists, families and veterans

SSAFA offers help and support to all serving members and former members of the Armed Forces including their families.  SSAFA are available on the hospital site in One Place (adjacent to Addenbrooke’s Main Reception) every Tuesday between 10am and 4pm. 

Defence Medical Welfare Service is an independent charity providing an independent and confidential medical welfare service

The Veterans’ Gateway is a  first point of contact for veterans and their families, putting them in touch with the organisations best placed to help with the information, advice and support they need – from healthcare and housing to employability, finances, personal relationships and more.

Combat Stress supports former servicemen and women's mental health 

Help for Heroes provide recovery and support for the Armed Forces community whose lives are affected by their service, no matter when they served 

Blesma supports all serving and ex-Service men and women who have lost limbs, or lost the use of limbs or eyes, to rebuild their lives by providing rehabilitation activities and welfare support

The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community – serving men and women, veterans, and their families.

Nursing Memorial Appeal

RAF Benevolent Fund offers a range of veteran support, from financial assistance to welfare breaks. Welfare breaks, grants to help with financial difficulty & getting about at home.
